Protests and grievances regarding the sudden announcement of demonetisation is sprouting up everyday in the city. To the contrary a group of people from the city today approached the Collectorate to send their wishes to Prime Minister claiming the move as 'Commendable'.
Vidhya Shankar, a social activist along with few residents from Ramakrishnapuram submitted a petition to the Collector indicating their appreciations to PM for announcing demonetisation. 'It's an act to annihilate black money, hawala and terrorist funding. We convey our acceptance and appreciations to the PM Narendra Modi for this commendable move' read the petition.
One of the resident also played with his flute' Vande Mataram' theme song and expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister.
