Members of the Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam (TPDK) today celebrated the 62nd birthday of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) leader Velupillai Prabhakaran. This leader is better known as Prabhakaran, was a Sri Lankan national who founded the LTTE, a militant organization that sought to create an independent Tamil state in north and east of Sri Lanka. He died at the age of 54.

Today, on 26 November on his birthday, TPDK members and loyalists in our city, gathered to celebrate this leaders birthday. As a part of the celebrations, a cake was cut. Ramakrittinan, President of Coimbatore chapter of TPDK presided over the celebrations. Children, members of the TPDK party and the public remembered Prabhakaran on his birthday.
