A lorry carrying Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) from Mangalore to Madurai hit an electric pole at Naloothukkuzhi near Pollachi and turned turtle. The driver and the cleaner of this lorry were admitted to the Pollachi Government Hospital (GH). A disaster was averted as the lorry did not catch fire die to the impact.
