A hands-on training programme on “Digital Library and IT Applications in Library Management” will be conducted at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology. A team of international librarians will participate in a hands-on experience programme, which will cover subjects like creating a digital library, GSDL open source software and developing an intranet library website.
The participants will also undergo a training session in IT enabled library services that are in practice at the Venkatram Learning Center at the Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology. Librarians from Uganda, Zambia, Seychelles, Cameroon, Nigeria, Iraq, Ethiopia, Myanmar, Philippines, Tanzania, Ghana, Kenya, Afghanistan, Mauritius, Nepal, Guyana, Maldives, Cote-D’ivoir and Bhutan are expected to be a part of the visiting international team.
