Roots Group of Companies hands over 'Road sweeper truck' to CCMC


Early this morning at Anna Sillai, Avinashi Road, a 'Truck-mounted Road Sweeper' machine was donated by Roots Group of Companies to the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation. As a part of their Corporate social responsibility (CSR), the machine was officially handed-over today to CCMC.

Speaking on this, Special Officer Vijayakarthikeyan said 'At this juncture, CCMC thanks Roots Group of Companies to donate this road sweeper machine to the corporation, as a part of their CSR activity. This state-of-art sweeper machine will reduce the work load of the CCMC workers. The vehicle will be used to clean the roads along the medians and the sides within a very short span of time'.



CCMC Commissioner and Special Officer, Vijayakarthikeyan formally flagged off the truck in the presence of K. Ramasamy, Founder, Roots, Varun Karthikeyan, Managing Director, Roots, Director Dr. Kavidasan, Deputy CCMC Deputy Commissioner, Gandhimadhi, District Welfare Officer Dr. K. Santhoskumar, Chief Finance Officer K. Ravi, Operations Director of Roots Group of Companies multi-clean division Dr. S. Chandrasekar, K. Saravana Sundaram, Director of Roots Group of Companies, and officials of the Coimbatore Corporation were present during the event.
