Elephant herd rampages residence of farmer at Theethipalayam




During the wee hours of morning a herd of ten elephants rampaged the residence of a farmer at Theethipalayam, Thondamuthur.

Srinivasan, a farmer resides in Kaveri Tank street, Theethipalayam. He was struck in shock as he heard elephant trumpeting in front of his house accompanied by rampaging sounds. 

The elephants banged on his residence doors and pierced it's trunk through the gaps. Appalled by the scene, Srinivasan and his wife yelled out for help. Hearing their sounds, the herd left from the place.



The herd later entered his farmlands adjoining his residence and destroyed brinjal and millet plants that were ready for harvest. This incident has created apprehension amongst the residents and farmers of Theethipalayam and adjacent villages.
