Coimbatore's Sri Ramakrishna Multis Speciality Hospital, has been awarded 'Best Public Service Initiative Project' Award by private sector hospital in India for the Guinness world record created for ‘most people to sign as organ donors in 8 hours’ at the International Healthcare Summit, New Delhi.

Sri Ramakrishna Multi Speciality hospital has created a new Guinness world record in record attempt for ‘most people to sign as organ donors in 8 hours’. The attempt was completed on 19-03-2016 Saturday at SNR Sons College ground between 8 am to 4 pm with Record Count 13,206 registered donors signing for pledging their organs in 8 hours at a single venue.
The award was handed over by Dr. CP Thakur, Hon'ble Member of Parliament, (Rajya Sabha), Former Minister Health and Family Welfare (Govt. of India), in the presence of Kirron Anupam Kher, Film and Television Actress, Member of Parliament) (Lok Sabha). The award was received by V Ramakrishna, Chief Operating Officer, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital (medical service - SNR Sons Charitable Trust) at the Awards function held in Hotel Lalit, New Delhi.
