A sidewalk fridge was inaugurated at the Rathinam International Public School (RIPS) campus by Prachi Aggarwal, National President of Ladies Circle India. Penta Ladies Club Circle 37 sponsored this sidewalk fridge. This sidewalk fridge also doubles up as a food ATM that can be accessed by those who cannot afford food. At any given time this sidewalk fridge will have stock of fresh food and refreshments.
We are told that the idea of launching the sidewalk fridge at this campus is to train the kids not to waste food and also to encourage them to make their contribution towards the needy in our society. The children of this school will place their extra untouched foods in this sidewalk fridge that can be accessed by the needy in the area close to the Hope College traffic signal.
