The students and staff of department of Catering Science and Hotel Management, Sri Krishna Arts and Science College (SKASC), celebrated Christmas with the inmates of shelter homes for the mentally retarded, orphaned children and the elderly persons in city.

During Christmas, it is the tradition of this college to prepare cakes in their in-house bakery and distribute them to those who cannot afford the same. This year too, keeping this tradition alive, the students of this department under the guidance of their faculty, prepared Christmas cakes and distributed them to the inmates of Helping Hearts home for orphaned children and home for the elderly in Kovaipudur and Cheshire Home at Peelamedu.

The students of SKASC also visited these homes and celebrated Christmas with the inmates. As a part of the celebrations, the students performed cultural events and entertained the inmates.
At the SKASC campus, Christmas was celebrated with a cake exhibition. There were innovative and creative cakes on display, all a creation of the students of department of Catering Science and Hotel Management. Cakes that were prepared by the students of this department were distributed to the students and staff of this college.

Dr. K. Sundararaman, CEO of SKASC, Dr. P. Babagnanakumar, Principal of the college, Prof. Sathishkumar, Arjunan, Radhikrishnan, students and others participated in the event.
