Plywood shop and neighbouring stores gutted in fire accident in Valparai, Estimated loss worth few lakhs

It has been reported that a fire broke out early in the morning, yesterday at a plywood shop owned by Subramaniam. This shop is located near the children's park in Valaparai. The fire destroyed all the apparels that stored in this store that were ready to be returned to customers. This fire has reportedly destroyed money and certificates that were also stored in this shop.



Before being put under control, this fire spread to the tailor shop owned by Agustin and gutted this shop. The fire spread to a neighbouring store that is involved in stickering, destroying a computer and the stickering machine.



Natives, who live in this vicinity, doused the fire by pouring buckets of water. Eye witnesses share that had the officials from the Fire Department reached this location on time, the damage caused by this fire could have been minimal.



Valparai police have registered a case and are investigating what caused this fire accident.
