Coimbatore-based employees of IT sector protest to lift the ban on Jallikattu

50 MNCs have their offices in Tidel Park campus in Coimbatore where a workforce of many thousand people work. They too have joined the bandwagon of protestors, pressing the removal of the ban on jallikattu.



A procession was flagged off from the Tidel Park where the employees of the various companies carried placard with slogans in favour of Jallikattu and against the PETA, the organisation which was instrumental in banning the sport. Throughout the procession route, protestors shouted slogans against state and central government demanding action is taken to ensure the conduct of Jallikattu.



The procession that started from Tidel Park travelled through Hopes College before reaching the Tidel Park. Traffic was disrupted on Avinashi Road for some time due to the protests
