'Crimes against women and children will be prevented; Strict action against those involved in such crimes:' New Tirupur City Police Commissioner

Praveen Kumar Abhinav took charge as the new Commissioner of Police of Tirupur city.


Tiruppur: The office of the City Police Commissioner was established in 2013 after the formation of Tiruppur district in 2008.



DIG Praveen Kumar Abhinavu, who was serving in Salem range took charge as the 11th Tirupur City Police Commissioner, on Friday.



Speaking to reporters after taking charge, Praveen Kumar Abhinav stated, "Action will be taken expeditiously to resolve the grievances of the public coming to the police stations in Tiruppur city.

Crimes against women and children will be prevented and strict action will be taken against those involved in such crimes. I would work completely to prevent traffic jams and road accidents."
