Tiger nears vehicle at Mudumalai Tiger Reserve; Video goes viral

Tourists were in a state of panic when a tiger crossed the road near their vehicle in which they were travelling in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve near Thepakkadu, in Tamil Nadu.


The Nilgiris: A video of a tiger approaching a vehicle carrying tourists at the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve has gone viral on social media.

The Mudumalai Tiger Reserve in the Nilgiris district is home to more than 100 tigers and is a reputed tourist destination in Tamil Nadu which attracts a large number of tourists every day.



The Forest Department regularly takes tourists on a trek to show them the forest area and wild animals.



As usual, on Monday evening, when the tourists were being taken for trekking in the Theppakadu forest area, a tiger walked majestically close to the vehicle.



In spite of being petrified, some tourists captured the tiger strolling on their mobile phones and posted it on social media which has gone viral.
