120 kg of explosives seized from Jamesha Mubin's house near Sulur in Coimbatore

The 120 kg of explosives seized from the house of Jamesha Mubin, who died in the Coimbatore car bomb blast, were destroyed at a private explosives manufacturing unit in Sultanpet.


Coimbatore: Around 120 kg of explosives seized from the house of Jamesha Mubin, who died in the Coimbatore car bomb blast, were destroyed.

On October 23, Jamesha Mubin was killed when her car exploded near Kottai Easwaran temple in Kottamedu area of Coimbatore.

Preliminary investigation by the police revealed that the car had taken explosives from the house of the deceased Jamesha Mubin in the car.

It was also found that Jamesha Mubin and others were trying to hatch a conspiracy at various places in Coimbatore.

The case has been transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and so far 13 people have been arrested and further investigation is underway.



The 120 kg of explosives seized in the first phase from the house of the deceased Jamesha Mubin were formally destroyed in the presence of NIA officials with the help of city and district police at a private explosives manufacturing unit in Varapatti village in Sultanpet, Coimbatore.
