District-level literary competitions held in view of International Mother Language Day

As many as 60 students from government schools studying from 6 to 12 from across the district participated in the competition.


Coimbatore: The Department of school education on Tuesday organized the district-level Literary competition at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Ondipudur of S.S.Kulam block.



As many as 60 students from government schools studying from 6 to 12 from across the district participated in the competition.



Oratorical and Essay writing competitions with 30 participants each were held.

The shortlisted participants were screened on the block levels making it through to the district level.



Two finalists from each of the competitions will further be participating in the State level competition which will be held at a later date.



The competitions were held under the themes 'Kalviyum Kallamaiyum' and 'Kuzhandhai Tholilalar Olipu (Abolition of Child Labour)'.
