Notorious history sheeter arrested for stealing a mobile phone in a running bus near Mettupalayam

The pickpocket pulled her bag and then alighted from the bus in a hurry. When the woman checked her bag, she was shocked to find that her cell phone was missing.


Coimbatore: Police arrested a notorious pickpocket Stalin, a native of Selvapuram, for snatching away a mobile phone from a young woman who was traveling in a bus.

Yamini (22) is a native of Mettupalayam and she works in an office in Gandhipuram. While traveling back to Mettupalayam in a bus, her mobile phone was stolen.

The pickpocket pulled her bag and then alighted from the bus in a hurry. When the woman checked her bag, she was shocked to find that her cell phone was missing.

The woman lodged a complaint at the nearby Kattoor police station in this regard.

Police registered a case and arrested Stalin from Selvapuram. The stolen mobile phone was seized and handed over to the woman

The arrested person was remanded in custody.
