Jaundice vaccine camp held for sanitary workers at CMCH

According to medical experts, with the onset of summer, the spread of seasonal diseases would be high and Jaundice is one of them.


Coimbatore: A special vaccination camp for Jaundice for sanitary workers was held at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital premises recently.



As many as 80 people including sanitary workers, and supervisors who are engaged in sanitation and cleaning work were vaccinated against Jaundice during the vaccination drive.

Dr Nirmala, Dean, CMCH, inspected the vaccination camp.

According to medical experts, with the onset of summer, the spread of seasonal diseases would be likely high and Jaundice is one of them.



As a precautionary measure the hospital administration on Friday carried out a vaccination drive and educated the need for the medication and about the severity of the disease.

Earlier the hospital management carried out a Covid drill and an emergency fire drill to be crisis ready and educated the inmates and faculty on emergency management.
