Increasing wildlife sightings in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve thrill visiting tourists

Especially wild elephants, deer, and bison, have started coming to the Masinagudi-Theppakadu highway in search of food in the morning and evening hours.



The Nilgiris: With the onset of summer, animal sightings have increased in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. There has been an increase in the number of wild animals that have been moving near the roadside in search of food, leaving the tourists thrilled.

The Mudumalai Tiger Reserve in the Nilgiris district covers an area of 688 sq km. Various types of wildlife including tigers, wild elephants, leopards, and deer live in this forest area.



Since it is summer season now, there is a shortage of drinking water and food for wild animals. Because of this, wildlife has started to move in search of drinking water and food.



Especially wild elephants, deer, and bison, have started coming to the Masinagudi-Theppakadu highway in search of food in the morning and evening hours.

Motorists and tourists passing by have been enjoying these wild animal sightings grazing the grass on the side of the road.



In particular, a large number of people enjoy watching male peacocks roaming around on the side of the road, often strutting to attract the peafowls.
