Maximizing educational opportunities: Guidance programme for class 12 students in Udumalpet

A mentoring workshop for 12th grade students admitted to higher education was held at Udumalpet in Tirupur district. The ceremony was attended by students from Udumalpet, Gudimangalam, and Madathukulam blocks.


Tirupur: A guidance programme was held in Udumalpet for class 12 students to get admission in higher education.

A higher education guidance programme consultation conference was held at four distinct places in the Tirupur district.

As a part of this, a higher education guidance programme for Udumalpet, Gudimangalam and Madathukulam block schools was held at SKP Higher Secondary School, Udumalai.

Professors of Thirumoorthy Nagar District Teacher Training Institute, Lecturers of Government Colleges, Officials of Private Institutions and others participated as facilitators for Gudimangalam and Madathukulam schools.

They explained to the students about higher educational institutions, courses, placements, vocational training by central and state government departments.

Headmasters, coordinators and 20 students selected by the chairman of the school management committee from each school participated in the event.

The students who participated in the meeting sought clarifications from the respondents on their doubts regarding higher education.
