Woman's charred body found near Gandhipuram - The police investigating

Police have registered a case and are investigating the identity of the deceased woman after her body was found burnt in a privately-owned vacant plot in front of gandhipuram bus stand in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a charred body of a woman was found near Gandhipuram in Coimbatore.



A woman was found dead in a privately-owned vacant plot in front of Gandhipuram bus stand in Coimbatore with a small room. Seeing this, the public informed the Kattoor police.



Following this, the police reached the spot and recovered the charred body of the woman and sent it to Coimbatore government hospital for post-mortem.

The forensic agency also conducted an inspection at the site. The police have opened an investigation into the incident and have inquired for the identity of the deceased woman. What brought her here? Was she killed? The probe has been stepped up.

Earlier, CCTV camera footage scanned in and around Gandhipuram bus stand was examined and an investigation is still ongoing.
