Class 10 results released - 91.39 percent students passed the exam

As of this morning, 91.39 percent of students have passed the class 10 board exams. Perambalur district in Tamil Nadu has the highest pass rate of 97.67 percent. In addition, 3,649 students have secured 100 per cent marks in Mathematics.



Chennai: A total of 91.39 per cent students have passed the class 10 board exams.

In Tamil Nadu, the class 10 board exams were held from April 6 to April 20. A total of 9,38,291 students appeared for the exam in Tamil Nadu.

At 10 a.m. today, the results of the class 10 board exams were released on the school education department's websites. Students can view their results by entering their registration number and birth date on the websites http://www.tnresults.nic.in and http://www.dge.tn.gov.in.

A total of 91.39 per cent students have passed the class 10 board exams. Of the 9,14,320 students who appeared for the exam, 8,35,614 have passed. Moreover, as always, this year too, girls are 6.5 per cent more than boys in pass percentage.

In this exam, 89 candidates have scored 100 out of 100 in English, 3,649 in Mathematics, 3,584 in Science and 320 in Social Sciences. It is to be noted that no one has scored 100 per cent marks in the language subject.

Perambalur district topped the class 10 board exams with 97.67 per cent pass percentage in Tamil Nadu.

Similarly, Sivagangai district came second with a pass percentage of 97.53 per cent. Virudhunagar district secured the third position with a pass percentage of 96.22 per cent. Kanyakumari district secured the fourth position with a pass percentage of 95.99 per cent. Thoothukudi district is at the 5th position with a pass percentage of 95.58 per cent.

The supplementary examination for those who have not cleared the Class 10 board exams will be held in June this year.
