6.5-sovereigns jewellery stolen from house in Coimbatore - Police investigation

Sanjeev Kumar Sharda (55) is a resident of Kattabomman Street in Velandipalayam, Coimbatore. He was sleeping with his family when the miscreant entered the house and looted 6.5 sovereigns of gold jewellery and Rs 42,000 in cash.



Coimbatore: The police are looking for a man who broke into a house in Velandipalayam and stole gold jewellery and money.

Sanjeev Kumar Sharda (55) is a resident of Kattabomman Street in Velandipalayam, Coimbatore. He runs a hardware shop. As usual, he finished his business at the shop and came home. He was then sleeping on the terrace of the house with his family.

At that time, he was shocked to see an unidentified person running from the terrace of his house. When they entered the house, they found that the miscreant had stolen 6.5 sovereigns of gold jewellery and Rs 42,000 in cash kept in the cupboard.

He lodged a complaint with the Saibaba Colony police in this regard. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case and are searching for the suspect.
