Coimbatore: A fire broke out in a garbage dump in Lakshmi Nagar area of 5th ward of Ashokapuram panchayat near Thudiyalur in Coimbatore.

The fire brigade reached the spot after receiving the information and fought for a long time to douse the fire.

Ashokapuram panchayat is next to Thudiyalur in Coimbatore and the garbage collected in all the wards here is dumped near the Lakshmi Nagar railway bridge in the 5th ward of this local authority.



Because of this, garbage is piled up like a mountain there. From time to time, the miscreants set fire to it.



In this situation, a fire broke out in the garbage there this afternoon.
