BJP Petitions Collector to Secure Thirumuruganpoondi Temple Assets Worth Rs. 100 Crore from outsiders

A complaint has been lodged with the District Collector's office on behalf of the BJP alleging that outsiders are trying to grab eight acres of land worth Rs 100 crore belonging to the Thirumuruganathaswamy temple in Thirumuruganpoondi at Rakkiyapalayam.



Tirupur: A complaint has been lodged at the district collectorate on behalf of the BJP alleging that it is trying to grab land worth Rs 100 crore belonging to Thirumuruganathaswamy temple in Thirumuruganpoondi.



The BJP has submitted a memorandum to the District Collector alleging that attempts are being made to grab land worth Rs 100 crore belonging to the Thirumuruganathaswamy temple at Thirumuruganpoondi in Tirupur district.

According to the petition, the land belonging to Thirumuruganathaswamy temple at Thirumuruganpoondi in Tirupur district belongs to 8 acres of land in Rakkiyapalayam village.

It is currently estimated to be worth Rs 100 crore. According to reports, some outsiders are attempting to occupy the land using forged documents.

When the public and devotees came to know about this, they went to the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department official and asked him to do so.

Moreover, people who want to grab the land are threatening the devotees and the public in the presence of the official. Therefore, steps should be taken to protect the temple property and the public. Action should be taken against those who are threatening the public. This is stated in the petition.
