PMK functionary sends Maamannan ticket to the Coimbatore district collector

A PMK functionary sent the district collector an online ticket for the recently released film Maamannan, demanding that the public be treated equally while receiving petitions at the public grievances redressal hall organised at the Collectorate in Coimbatore.

Coimbatore: A PMK functionary sent the district collector an online ticket to the film Maamannan, urging him to treat everyone equally during the public grievances redressal meeting in Coimbatore.

Every Monday, a public grievances redressal meeting is held at the Collectorate in Coimbatore, chaired by the District Collector. A large number of people will petition the District Collector directly.

Last Monday, an organisation named People of Coimbatore filed a petition regarding mineral looting. Pattali makkal katchi Coimbatore district secretary Ashok Srinithi, who was there at the moment, met with the district collector and submitted a petition.

In this case, the District Collector took the petition while sitting, and the people who had come to submit the petition would stand and do so.

Ashok Srinithi posted on Twitter that he had purchased tickets for the recently released film Maamannan online and delivered them to the District Collector, claiming that the District Collector is superior and the public are inferior.

He tweeted, "I have sent you a ticket for actor Udhayanidhi's film Maamannan. The aim is that you should understand the theme of the film. We have to stand for hours and get a receipt to register our complaint on the day of the grievance redressal camp.

Then stand in a long queue on the verandah of the camp room with the receipt. Then when we meet you you will be sitting on the stage and we will stand in front of you and talk.

We need to see you from the bottom of our way. The table will be set up as you see below us. Your deeds will be as if you are superior to us, and we are inferior to you.

Why should we confront you when you are merely a government employee? It is your responsibility to solve people's problems. Why make people stand from the left side of the stage? Shouldn't we take a seat in front of you? This needs to be corrected immediately.

"If not, I'll bring a chair next time," he tweeted and asked the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to "please take action" and not to mistreat the people.
