DMK Holds Consultative Meeting in Coimbatore

The Coimbatore District DMK office hosts a consultative meeting led by the city’s district secretary Na. Karthik, discussing key resolutions and future plans.


Coimbatore:

Today, a consultative meeting of the DMK administrators for Coimbatore City District took place at the DMK office located on Cross Cut Road, Vadakovai, Coimbatore. The meeting was chaired by Coimbatore City District DMK Secretary Na. Karthik, ExMLA, who also delivered a special address.

Two resolutions were passed in the Coimbatore City District DMK Executive Committee meeting:

Resolution 1:

The meeting resolved to participate en masse in the DMK Youth Wing Conference, scheduled on January 21 under the leadership of Tamil Nadu's esteemed Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare and the inspiring young leader of the party, Udhayanidhi Stalin, in Salem.

Resolution 2:

The meeting decided to celebrate the traditional Tamil festival of Pongal across all wards and party units in Coimbatore City District. The celebration, titled "Samathuva Pongal" (Equality Pongal), will involve hoisting the party's two-color flag, conducting traditional sports competitions, and paying tributes to the great poet Thiruvalluvar with garlands. The festival will also feature kolam competitions for women and various other contests to celebrate the festival in a grand manner.

Several key DMK leaders and officials participated in the meeting, including Kotai Abbas, Deputy Secretary of Coimbatore City District, P. Nachimuthu, and legal department joint secretaries K.M. Thandapani and B.R. Arulmozhi. The meeting was attended by a wide array of party members, office-bearers, and leaders, showcasing the strong unity and commitment within the party ranks.
