District-Level Kabaddi Competition for Girls Held in Rathinam College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore

Coimbatore: A district-level kabaddi competition for girls under 20 was organized yesterday by the Coimbatore District Kabaddi Association in collaboration with Rathinam College of Arts and Science.


The event was inaugurated by Coimbatore District Kabaddi Association's Joint Secretary, Sivakumar. Eleven teams participated in the tournament, which was conducted on a knockout basis.


In the opening match, Sulur Best and Co faced the team from Seeliyur Government Girls Higher Secondary School. Best and Co triumphed with a score of 22-8. The tournament showcased exceptional talent, and players selected from these matches will represent the district in the state-level competition.


This event highlights the growing interest in kabaddi among young women and the commitment of local institutions to promote sports at the grassroots level.
