Special Train Service Announced for Pongal Festival Between Coimbatore and Tambaram

The train 06086, will depart from Coimbatore at 8:45 PM and is scheduled to reach Tambaram at 5:20 PM on the 16th and 17th of January 2024. Similarly, train number 06085 will leave Tambaram at 7:30 AM.


Coimbatore: In light of the upcoming Pongal festival, a special train service has been announced by the Railway Department to facilitate travel between Coimbatore and Tambaram. This special service will run through Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Perambur, and Chennai Egmore.

The train, numbered 06086, will depart from Coimbatore at 8:45 PM and is scheduled to reach Tambaram at 5:20 PM on the 16th and 17th of January 2024. Similarly, train number 06085 will leave Tambaram at 7:30 AM on the 17th and 18th of January 2024, arriving in Coimbatore at 4:30 PM on the same days.

This special service is expected to provide a convenient and comfortable travel option for people visiting their hometowns and celebrating Pongal. The trains are anticipated to be adorned with festive decorations, enhancing the spirit of the festival. Passengers are advised to book their tickets in advance to avoid last-minute rushes and ensure a smooth journey during the festive season.
