Coimbatore: A significant Samathuva Pongal Festival was conducted by Coimbatore City DMK in the Periya Kadai Street Area - 1, Ward No. 81, in the Idaiyar Street locality on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
The event, starting at 7.30 am, saw Na. Karthik Ex.MLA inaugurate the festivities and distribute aid to 1000 locals. The event was supervised by the Coimbatore City DMK Driver's Wing Organizer A.S. Jayakumar and witnessed the participation of various DMK officials including Ward Organizer Market M. Manogaran mc., Joint Secretary P. Nachimuthu, Member M.I.R. Selvaraj,
and others. The event, part of Tamil New Year, Thiruvalluvar Day, and Samathuvam Pongal celebrations, also saw the hoisting of the party flag by Town Pa. Anand.
