Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science Partners with Qube Cinema for Enhanced Film and Media Education

The MoU signed by KCLAS and Qube Cinema aims to provide students with practical experience through internships and collaborative events, enhancing their learning in the film and media sector.


Coimbatore: Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science (KCLAS) has embarked on a new partnership with Qube Cinema, a leading provider of end-to-end digital cinema technology and solutions, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on 22 January 2024. This collaboration is set to offer students a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the realm of film and media.

The MoU paves the way for several collaborative initiatives between KCLAS and Qube Cinema, including Directors' Talk shows featuring esteemed guests from the film industry, providing a platform for students to gain insights directly from professionals. Furthermore, it opens up opportunities for students to undertake internships at Qube Cinema and Movie Buff in Chennai, with three KCLAS students already benefiting from this initiative.

The agreement was signed by Sathesh Kumar T, Associate Vice President - Content (South) at QS - Content Management, who brings extensive experience and leadership to this partnership. The signing event was graced by Aarthi Videep, Director of Virtual Production, and Monica Sethiya, Program Manager from Qube Labs, alongside the academic leadership of KCLAS including Dean Dr. Sakkthivel, Deputy Deans Dr. Balu and Dr. Dayalarajan, and Dr. Sheela Srivastava, Associate Director, Office of Student Affairs.

Dr. Vijila Kennedy, Principal of KCLAS, highlighted the significance of this partnership, emphasizing that it goes beyond a mere academic collaboration. She remarked that the partnership represents a convergence of creativity, innovation, and strategic vision, aiming to set new benchmarks in the field of Visual Communication. The synergy between KCLAS and Qube is expected to foster a rich learning environment for students, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to excel in the dynamic film and media industry.
