18th South Indian Level Football Tournament Concludes at Sri Narayana Guru College

The 18th South Indian level football tournament hosted by Sri Narayana Guru College in KK Pudur, Coimbatore, concluded on February 24th, witnessing the participation of 21 college teams from various regions including Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Erode, Salem, Tirupur, Dindigul, Thrissur, Guruvayur, and Palakkad.


Coimbatore: Sri Narayana Guru College in KK Pudur, Coimbatore, successfully concluded the 18th edition of the South Indian level football tournament, held from February 21st to February 24th. This four-day sporting extravaganza brought together 21 college teams from across South India, showcasing their skills on the college’s football ground.





Teams from Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Erode, Salem, Tirupur, Dindigul, Thrissur, Guruvayur, and Palakkad participated in the tournament, creating a competitive and lively atmosphere. The final match saw Minority College and MD College face off, with Minority College securing a victory in a tight game that ended one to zero.

The closing ceremony on February 24th featured Senior Accountant Vinodkumar as the special guest and Srihari, the administrative trustee of the Sri Narayana Guru Educational Trust, as the special invitee. They presented trophies to the winning teams, with Minority College claiming the champion’s trophy. MD College came in second place, followed by Sri Krishna College in third, and the host, Sri Narayana Guru College, securing the fourth position.

The event was attended by the principal of Sri Narayana Guru College, Kalpana, physical education teacher Jayaprakash, and other faculty members, marking a memorable end to the tournament that celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among students from various colleges.
