CII Coimbatore Hosts Session on Leveraging AI for Enterprise Growth

On March 25, 2024, CII Coimbatore, in partnership with the Coimbatore Management Association, held a session on utilizing AI for business growth, featuring insights from Amitabha Saha Roy of TCS.


Coimbatore: In a significant move towards embracing technological advancements, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Coimbatore, in collaboration with the Coimbatore Management Association, organized a session on "Driving Enterprise Growth using Artificial Intelligence" on March 25, 2024, in Coimbatore.



The session featured Amitabha Saha Roy, the Global Practice Head - Sales and Marketing for the Consumer Goods Industry at Tata Consultancy Services. Mr. Roy delved into the crucial aspects of fueling enterprise growth through Artificial Intelligence. He discussed the swift progression of AI technology and the urgent need for businesses to evaluate their current positions and identify areas lacking capabilities. Using real-world examples, Mr. Roy illuminated the evolution of AI and its transformative effect on business models, focusing on the advantages it brings, such as heightened productivity, superior user experiences, and significant improvements in revenue, profitability, as well as speed and cost efficiency. He also presented a strategic framework for organizations aspiring to become AI-driven, highlighting the importance of digitalization, establishing solid data infrastructures, data analytics, and the implementation of advanced AI technologies for fostering growth and innovation.



Rajesh Doraiswamy, Vice Chairman of CII Coimbatore Zone and Joint Managing Director of Salzer Electronics Ltd, provided the welcome address. He underscored the growing importance of AI across various sectors and its capacity to bolster market competitiveness for businesses that adopt it promptly. He also shed light on CII's initiatives aimed at promoting technological advancement among its members and stressed the session's goal of discussing AI's role in advancing current businesses and uncovering new avenues for growth.

R Varadarajan, Past Chairman of CII Coimbatore Zone and Chairman of the Coimbatore Management Association, extended the vote of thanks to conclude the session.

The event saw participation from 60 attendees representing diverse sectors, indicating a keen interest in the intersection of AI and enterprise development.
