Egg Van Topples in Major Collision on Dharapuram Road Near Palladam

A collision on Dharapuram Road near Palladam involving a private egg van and a government bus led to major damage and traffic disruptions. Fortunately, no casualties reported.


Coimbatore: A significant traffic accident occurred on Dharapuram Road near Palladam when an egg delivery van overturned while attempting to overtake a government bus. The bus was en route from Rajapalayam to Coimbatore, while the private catcher van was headed from Palladam.



According to initial reports, the egg van driver made a risky maneuver to overtake the bus, leading to the van's destabilization and eventual overturn. Fortunately, the bus passengers and the van driver escaped without injuries.



However, the incident caused approximately 2 lakhs worth of eggs to be damaged. Palladam police are currently using a JCB machine to retrieve the overturned vehicle, and inquiries into the exact circumstances of the accident are ongoing.



The accident caused considerable disruption in the area.
