Coimbatore: A key review meeting on the Anaimalai Regional Development Plan and Tamil Nadu Innovative Initiatives took place today, June 27, under the leadership of District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati at the Coimbatore District Collector's Office. The meeting was attended by officials from various departments focusing on the progress of previously approved administrative projects within the region.

This year, under the special sectional development plan, 15 out of 35 sanctioned projects for the year 2023-2024 have been completed. Efforts to expedite the completion of the remaining 20 projects were discussed, with specific instructions to finish longstanding tasks within the next 15 days in areas like Periyanayakkanpalayam, Karamadai, Madukkarai, and Thondamuthur.

Further, for the year 2024-2025 under the special area development plan, proposals including building houses for the mountain people in the regions of Anaimalai, Kottur, and Vettaikaranputhur were approved. These proposals were recommended after careful consideration of the roles these initiatives would play in the development plan selected by the Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission.
