Coimbatore: The Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme for rural areas, launched by Chief Minister MK Stalin in Dharmapuri district on Thursday, was simultaneously held in Kaniyur, Coimbatore. Minister S. Muthusamy was present at the event to receive petitions from the public.

According to an official press release, over 700 petitions were submitted in Coimbatore on Thursday as part of the scheme. The initiative aims to address public grievances efficiently, with a commitment to resolve issues within 30 days.

The Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme will be implemented extensively across Coimbatore district. A total of 62 camps are scheduled to be held from July 16 to September 14, covering 218 panchayats. It's worth noting that 10 panchayats in the district, which fall under Coimbatore city limits, have already been included in the scheme.

The government has encouraged members of the public to submit petitions related to 15 different departments. This comprehensive approach ensures that a wide range of issues and concerns can be addressed through the scheme, providing a direct channel for citizens to communicate their needs to the government.

The Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme represents a significant step towards bringing government services closer to the rural population, ensuring their voices are heard and their problems are addressed in a timely manner.
