India Alliance MPs Protest Against Neglect of Tamil Nadu in Union Budget

India Alliance MPs, including those from Tamil Nadu, staged a protest in Parliament against the alleged neglect of Tamil Nadu in the Union Budget, demanding fair allocation of funds and projects.

Delhi: Members of Parliament (MPs) from the India Alliance staged a protest against the alleged neglect of Tamil Nadu in the Union Budget. The demonstration took place in the Parliament premises, with MPs from various parties expressing their dissatisfaction over the lack of allocation for Tamil Nadu and other states in the recently presented budget.

The protest saw participation from MPs representing Tamil Nadu-based parties such as DMK, Congress, CPI, CPI(M), VCK, and MDMK. Additionally, MPs from other India Alliance parties, including Samajwadi Party, Trinamool Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party, joined the demonstration to show solidarity.

The protesting MPs accused the central government of failing to announce any significant projects or allocations for Tamil Nadu and several other states in the Union Budget. They argued that this neglect would hinder the development of these states and called for a fair distribution of resources.

DMK MPs, in particular, wore black shirts during the protest to symbolize their strong opposition to what they perceive as discriminatory treatment towards Tamil Nadu in the budget allocations. The black attire was a visual representation of their discontent and a means to draw attention to their cause.

The India Alliance, a coalition of opposition parties, used this opportunity to highlight what they claim is a pattern of neglect towards non-BJP ruled states in the allocation of funds and projects. They demanded that the central government reconsider its approach and ensure equitable development across all states, regardless of political affiliations.

As the protest continues, it remains to be seen how the central government will respond to these allegations and whether any amendments or clarifications regarding budget allocations will be made in the coming days.
