IndiGo to Launch Coimbatore-Singapore Flight Service from October

IndiGo Airlines has received approval to start flight services from Coimbatore to Singapore beginning October. Officials say an official announcement will be made soon, expanding international connectivity from Coimbatore.

Coimbatore: IndiGo Airlines has received approval to commence flight services from Coimbatore to Singapore starting October, according to airport officials. An official announcement regarding this new route is expected to be made in the coming days.

Currently, Coimbatore International Airport offers flight services to two international destinations: Sharjah and Singapore. From August 10, IndiGo is set to launch a new service between Coimbatore and Abu Dhabi, for which ticket bookings are already underway.

Speaking about the new development, airport officials stated, "At present, Scoot Airlines operates flights between Coimbatore and Singapore. This service runs daily, with flights arriving in Coimbatore at 10 PM from Singapore and departing back to Singapore at 10:45 PM."

They further added, "IndiGo has now received permission to operate flights between Coimbatore and Singapore starting from October. The official announcement regarding this service will be made in the coming days."

With the addition of the Abu Dhabi route and the new IndiGo service to Singapore, the number of international flight services from Coimbatore will increase to four. This expansion in international connectivity is expected to benefit travelers from the region, providing more options for direct flights to foreign destinations.

The introduction of these new services underscores the growing importance of Coimbatore as a key air travel hub in South India, catering to both business and leisure travelers. It also reflects the increasing demand for international air travel from the city and surrounding areas.
