Two-day Water Supply Disruption in Udumalaipettai

Udumalaipettai Municipality announces water supply suspension on October 2nd and 3rd, 2024, due to main pipeline repair work. Residents advised to store water.


Tirupur: The Udumalaipettai Municipality in Tirupur district has announced a two-day suspension of water supply due to maintenance work on the main pipeline of the first water distribution scheme. The interruption is scheduled for October 2nd and 3rd, 2024.

Municipal Commissioner Balamurugan stated that the water supply would be affected in several wards of the town area, including wards 12, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 25. The disruption is necessitated by repair work on a major pipeline breach in the primary water distribution system.

Residents in the affected areas have been advised to store adequate water for their needs during this period. The municipality has urged the public to cooperate and make necessary arrangements to manage their water requirements for the two days when the supply will be unavailable.

The local administration is working to complete the maintenance work as quickly as possible to restore normal water supply to the affected areas. Updates on the progress of the repair work and the resumption of water supply will be communicated to the residents through local channels.
