Three-Day Carrom Ranking Tournament Kicks Off in Tirupur

A three-day carrom ranking tournament begins in Tirupur, with winners set to represent Tamil Nadu at the national level. The event attracts players from across the state in various categories.



Tirupur,: A state-level carrom ranking tournament has commenced in Tirupur, drawing players from across Tamil Nadu. The three-day event, organized by the Tiruppur Carrom Association, is being held at a private school near Koolipalayam in Tirupur.

The tournament, which started today and will continue until Sunday, has attracted a significant number of participants from all over Tamil Nadu. In the men's category, 350 players are expected to compete, while the women's category will see 250 participants. Additionally, about 70 players are set to participate in other categories.



Competitions are being conducted in three main divisions: Men's Senior, Women's Senior, and Men's Doubles. The top six ranked players from each category will earn the opportunity to represent Tamil Nadu in the upcoming national-level tournament.



All winners of this tournament will be awarded trophies and certificates. The Tirupur District Collector is scheduled to present these accolades during the final match on Sunday, adding prestige to the event.

This tournament serves as a platform for carrom enthusiasts to showcase their skills and potentially advance to national-level competitions, highlighting the sport's popularity in Tamil Nadu.
