48-Hour Rest for unwell Vanathi: Annamalai to continue Campaign in Coimbatore North

Coimbatore North BJP candidate Vanathi Srinivasan suffers severe leg swelling due to intense campaigning. With doctors advising 48-hour rest, former state president Annamalai will launch campaign tomorrow at 9 AM on Mettupalayam Road to ensure uninterrupted election outreach.

Coimbatore: Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP candidate for Coimbatore North Assembly constituency and National President of the party's Women's Wing, has suffered a sudden health setback. With the election date approaching, Vanathi Srinivasan, who has been engaged in intensive voter outreach activities, has developed severe swelling in her leg.

Over the past several days, Vanathi Srinivasan has been campaigning non-stop across the entire Coimbatore North constituency from early morning until midnight, leading to her health deterioration due to continuous travel. Following a medical examination, doctors have advised her to take complete rest for the next 48 hours.

With Vanathi Srinivasan on prescribed rest, former Tamil Nadu BJP State President Annamalai will undertake a whirlwind campaign in Coimbatore North constituency tomorrow to ensure campaign activities continue without interruption. Annamalai, stepping in for his 'sister' Vanathi Srinivasan, will directly meet voters and seek their support.

Tomorrow (April 11) at 9 AM, Annamalai's campaign tour will commence near the Fire Station on Mettupalayam Road. An invitation has been extended to coalition party executives and the general public to participate in large numbers in this campaign.

Vanathi Srinivasan is expected to resume her final phase of campaigning once the leg swelling subsides. While BJP had planned intensive canvassing in the remaining days before the election, this health issue has caused a temporary disruption.
