Coimbatore: The Madras High Court has issued an order granting summer vacation to courts in Coimbatore until May 31, in view of the summer season. Consequently, the Coimbatore District Principal Sessions Court has been granted a one-month vacation period.

Following this directive, it has been announced that bail and anticipatory bail petitions will be taken up for hearing only once a week during the vacation period. In accordance with this schedule, petitions filed in criminal and civil cases last Wednesday were heard today.

The judicial administration has informed that fresh petitions can be filed on May 13, 20, and 27. The hearings for these petitions will be conducted on subsequent Fridays - May 15, 22, and 29 - throughout the vacation period.

This vacation schedule applies to the District Principal Sessions Court in Coimbatore, while urgent matters and bail-related petitions will continue to be addressed on the designated days to ensure that critical legal matters are not delayed during the summer break.
