Ward 27 Councillor Conducts Comprehensive Civic Services Inspection in Peelamadu

Ward 27 Councillor Ambika Dhanapal conducted extensive field inspections across Peelamadu area on Tuesday, personally monitoring tree cutting operations, waste collection services, water supply, and civic amenities in Duraisamy Naidu Layout, Muthu Street, and surrounding localities to ensure quality municipal services for residents.

Coimbatore: Ambika Dhanapal, Ward Councillor of Ward 27 in Singanallur Assembly constituency under Coimbatore Corporation North Zone, undertook comprehensive field inspections across the Peelamadu area on Tuesday to monitor civic services and directly address resident grievances.

The inspection began at Duraisamy Naidu Layout near Perumal Temple and Bharathi Colony, where tree pruning operations were underway using hydraulic crane machinery. Overhanging branches obstructing vehicular movement were being systematically removed. Councillor Ambika Dhanapal personally supervised the site and instructed workers to complete the work without causing public inconvenience. Ward Supervisor Easwari accompanied her throughout the visit.

Later, the councillor proceeded to Muthu Street and Muthu Santhu areas in Peelamadu to verify the daily waste collection handcart schedules. She inspected the door-to-door garbage collection system to ensure proper functioning and adherence to timelines.

During direct interactions with residents, Councillor Ambika Dhanapal made detailed inquiries about essential civic services. She asked whether brackish water supply was being provided regularly, whether potable water was supplied once every six days as per schedule, if sewage cleaning was being done properly, whether street lights were functioning correctly, and if mosquito fogging operations were conducted weekly as mandated.

The councillor then inspected Mukkoodu Ramaswamy Street and Kachama Naidu Street areas in Peelamadu, where she verified the punctuality and efficiency of battery-operated auto rickshaws used for daily waste collection operations.

During this inspection round, Councillor Ambika Dhanapal observed accumulated waste along roadsides and issued strict instructions to sanitation workers to clean all roadside garbage daily without fail. She emphasized maintaining consistent cleanliness standards throughout the ward.

The multi-point inspection covered various aspects of civic administration, reflecting the councillor's proactive approach to ensuring quality municipal services reach every resident. Ward Supervisor Easwari's continuous presence facilitated immediate coordination with ground-level staff for prompt action on identified issues.

These regular field inspections by the ward councillor demonstrate a commitment to addressing citizen concerns promptly and maintaining high standards of civic amenities across the Peelamadu area of Ward 27.
