Coimbatore: Ward 27 Councillor Ambika Danapal today conducted comprehensive inspections of ration shop operations and cleanliness drives in the Peelamedu areas under Coimbatore Corporation's North Zone.
The councillor visited the Singanallur Cooperative Fair Price Shop operating in Peelamedu Gopal Nagar area, which falls under the Singanallur Assembly constituency, this morning. During the inspection, she directly interacted with the public to verify whether essential commodities including rice are being distributed properly and completely to the beneficiaries. Ration shop staff were present during the inspection.

Subsequently, the councillor personally inspected whether the battery-operated auto designated for daily garbage collection was functioning regularly on Peelamedu Peranaidu Street. After enquiring about the garbage collection operations, she instructed residents to segregate biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste separately before disposal.

Similarly, roadside waste removal work was carried out today on Peelamedu Periyar Street. Councillor Ambika Danapal personally visited and inspected these operations. She emphasized to the sanitation workers to completely remove waste accumulating on roadsides daily and maintain cleanliness standards.
