Train No. 16322 Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express will run on a diverted route via Podanur, Pollachi and Palani on September 3 due to track maintenance works. The train will operate only up to Dindigul, with several regular stops skipped and no onward service to Nagercoil on the same day.
Coimbatore: Passengers travelling on the Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express on September 3 are advised to take note of a temporary change in the train’s route and service pattern due to track maintenance works in the Salem and Madurai divisions.
Train No. 16322 Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express will depart from Coimbatore Junction at 8 a.m. and run towards Dindigul via Podanur, Pollachi and Palani instead of its regular route.
As part of the diversion, the train will skip Coimbatore North, Peelamedu, Singanallur, Irugur, Sulur Road, Somanur, Tiruppur, Uttukuli, Ingur, Erode, Pasur, Kodumudi, Pugalur, Karur, Palaiyam and Eriodu.
Passengers can instead use the alternative stoppages at Podanur, Pollachi, Udumalaippettai, Palani and Oddanchatram.
The service will be short-terminated at Dindigul Junction on September 3. It will run from Coimbatore Junction to Dindigul only, with no onward service from Dindigul to Nagercoil Junction on that day.
