Coimbatore District Collector Pavan Kumar G. Giriyappanavar led a dengue awareness drive in Ward 28, covering Ganapathy, Avarampalayam and Ramasamy Layout. Students of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science took a pledge to raise awareness about dengue prevention.
Coimbatore: A dengue awareness and prevention programme was held in Ganapathy, Avarampalayam and Ramasamy Layout, which fall under Ward 28 of the North Zone of Coimbatore Corporation.
As part of the programme, students of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science and members of the public took a pledge on health awareness.
District Collector Pavan Kumar Giriyappanavar, IAS, and Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja, IAS, were among the officials associated with the programme.
City Health Officer Dr. Subramanian, Assistant Commissioner Meganadevi, Zonal Assistant Engineer Kannagi Jayapal and several other Corporation officials were also present.
