Woman found dead in a well in Karunya Nagar

A 46 year-old woman was found dead in a well in her house at Karunya Nagar on Monday. A post-mortem examination will be performed either on Wednesday or Thursday.

Karunya Nagar Police Station Inspector A. Vetrivel Murugan said that the woman’s husband was affected by AIDS and had died about 10 years ago.

The woman was living with her two daughters. The elder daughter was was separated from her husband and was living with her mother. A few days ago the daughters went to their relative’s place in Tirupur.

The woman last spoke with her daughter over phone on Sunday night.

When Moorthi came to collect cow’s milk from the woman’s house on Monday morning, the woman did not answer. He informed the woman’s brother V. Chellamuthu (53). He saw blood stains on the floor and informed the police. The police found her dead in the well.
