Dried grass catches fire in prison premises

The scorching heat has thrown life out of gear. The heat has been so intense that dried grass in the central jail premises caught fire.

The fire was noticed near the outer wall of the Jail around 4.30 by some officials, who immediately alerted the fire and rescue personnel, police said .

Two fire tenders were pressed into service and they managed to put off the fire by 5.30.There was no no damage, the police clarified.
