Three held, four vehicles recovered

The Central Crime Branch of the city police arrested three persons for theft and sale of four four-wheelers. The accused were identified as M. Senthil Kumar (31) and J. Prabhu (27) of Thelungupalayam and R. Karthik (29) of Vadavalli.

Last week R. Ranjith Kumar (28) of Katteridam post in The Nilgiris lodged a complaint with the crime branch that he was cheated by a private firm functioning near Lakshmi Mills.

'Sky Max Creations' run by Senthil Kumar, and his partner Ganeshkumar, promised him Rs. 7,000 a month a vehicle for advertising on the sides of his vehicle and Rs. 25,000 more a vehicle if he gave the vehicle to them for rent.

He handed over his two vehicles to them and in a few days he came to know that he was cheated as their company closed down. The police during inquiry came to know that they sold Ranjith's vehicles to Prabhu, who changed the registration plates of the vehicles. The police came to know that Senthil and Ganesh sold two such vehicles to Karthik.

The police on Tuesday arrested Senthil, Prabhu, and Karthik.

They also recovered four vehicles from them. Search is on for Ganesh.
