Human chain for voters’ awareness organised by Roots

The Roots Group of Industries organised a human chain to highlight the importance of voting.

A release from the company said that, to ensure 100 per cent voting in the Assembly elections, the employees in the company took an oath for ‘Vote for our birthright, Voting is our first duty’, and participated in this human chain awareness which was conducted at five different places in Coimbatore.

Global Day of Action

International Planned Parenthood Federation has declared May 18 as the IPPF Global Day of Action.

The primary focus of the programme is comprehensive sexuality education and youth rights.

The federation aims at creating awareness among youngsters about issues concerning sexual rights and sexual health.

Family Planning Association (India), Nilgiris, organised a signature campaign on the theme, “Know it, Own it” at Government ITI, Coonoor, which was inaugurated by Training Officer, Mohandas.

The students of the ITI participated the signature campaign.
