One WhatsApp Complaint and immediate action by city police

A common man waiting on the traffic signal at Nava India junction did not expect that his message to city police WhatsApp number will bring this outcome. He messaged to a senior police officer in WhatsApp group regarding traffic violation by a Coimbatore-Tirupur private bus owner on the Avinashi road . As the bus was skipping the signal and did not have any consideration for other vehicles on the road.

The person just posted the image and immediate action was taken by the senior inspector with the help of his subordinate and a fine of Rs.1,100 was imposed on the bus driver. The copies of the case registered against  the driver and receipt were shared in the group  which came as a surprise to the group members.

The police have requested the members to post images or videos for helping the police to use it as proof for initiating action against the violators.

With the verge of Social media, the city police have brought a perfect initiative to make the city a safer place with fewer crimes happening around.
